ABOUT US

ABOUT US
The Men's Football Academy at Park View Academy of Sport combines a variety of academic pathways with high-level training and performance.
Park View Academy of Sport are formally part of the
Huddersfield Town Academy structure. You will represent Park View Academy of Sport which is the North East scouting network for Huddersfield Town.
Through this unique and innovative partnership players can benefit from a clear route into a career in sport and perhaps professional football.
Our football programme has a track record of putting players into the professional game!
The Football Academy provides students with the platform to develop the technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of their game, allowing players to develop their game intelligence. We make sure all of our students train to their highest potential while excelling in the classroom, providing routes to progress into employment, apprenticeships & and university, both in England and the USA.
Every player goes through a structured coaching plan and has their own Player's Performance Diary aligned to the EPPP programme. The players' performance programme covers technical, tactical, physical mental and social aspects. The coaching programme has 6 key themes that players work towards and are assessed against throughout the year. GPS data from Player Tek pods, Strength and Conditioning progress reports and match analysis are all used to review each player.
At the end of the 2-year programme, each player will be supported in creating a highlights reel to help gain scholarships or trials.

FOOTBALL PARTNERSHIP

PARTNERED WITH
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
We are partnered with HUDDERSFIELD TOWN having a formal professional link with the club. Our relationship is with the Academy Director (who runs the B Team) and the Head of Recruitment for the club. Huddersfield Town became the first professional club to come away from the EPPP system at under 16.
Huddersfield Town have an under 18 team made up of Under 17 players. An Under 19 team made up of Under 18s and a B Team made up of Under 19-23s. Huddersfield Town are looking to SIGN PLAYERS who are ready to play first team football within 12 months.
We are following the Huddersfield Town performance programme for football led by their academy director and sports science teams.
We have a developing a reputation for PRODUCING GOOD YOUNG PLAYERS, PLAYING ATTRACTIVE FOOTBALL IN SENIOR FOOTBALL. Having a club that is made up of youth players who train at our academy allows boys to train full time, mirroring the structure of a professional football club. Playing against senior players stretches our young footballers.
By having a weekend games programme it creates opportunities to organise SHOWCASE GAMES against PROFESSIONAL CLUBS and clubs to put players in the shop window.

JOSH KING
YORK CITY
My time at Park View allowed me to get an extra year of developing the physical side of my game. This helped me progress into the professional game.

HARRISON CLARK
LIVINGSTON F.C
I was able to train like a professional alongside gaining an education. The coaches connections enabled me to go trial with professional clubs in turn allowing me to sign a professional contract

RYAN WOMBWELL
SUNDERLAND AFC
Going into full time training allowed me to develop sides of my game which I was lacking. This enabled me to enhance these areas, ultimately helping me gain a professional contract.

JONATHON FOX
FC HANSA ROSTOK
It was a year in which I played in a few positions and got to find out about myself as a player. Gained a fitness diploma qualification (PT), something which I haven’t yet come to need, but in the future could be handy, alongside a semi-pro football career, for example. It goes without saying that we had an epic season on the pitch, which is always nice, but most of all for me, I was able to thoroughly enjoy my football, and meet lads who I can say are mates for the long run.
